The April edition will feature PFC VoW Awardee for 2020 Manreet Sodhi Someshwar in conversation about her latest book Lahore: Book 1 of The Partition Trilogy.

Manreet Sodhi Someshwar is an award-winning and bestselling writer of many books, including the Mehrunisa series and The Long Walk Home.

The latest from her pen, Lahore: Book 1 of the Partition Trilogy is a book that intrinsically interweaves the partition with human emotions. Lahore is a behind-the-scenes look into the negotiations and the political swindling gave India its freedom, set in the cruelest summer ever. As the men take decisions to wield the swords, it is the womenfolk that bear the brunt of the carnage that sweeps India.

Manreet Sodhi Someshwar will be joining us live from America where she is settled with her family.

She will be in conversation with Dr. Sanjeev Chopra, Festival Director of Valley of Words, and a Distinguished Fellow of the USI. Dr. Chopra is currently working on his book ‘We the People of the States of Bharat’ on the reorganization of the states of India to be published by Harper Collins in August this year.
