NDLI are the proud recipients of the Open Resilience Award at the Open Education Awards 2020. This award recognizes exemplary leadership (individual or organizational) and Open Education and activities that clearly demonstrate the implementation of open education practices to address opportunities and challenges arising from COVID-19. When India closed her doors in March 2020 – as gatekeepers of India’s knowledge economy – NDLI’s mission was not just to evolve, but to transform, overnight. Our 48 million strong repository was overhauled into a ed-tech service platform within a matter of weeks. With most of the team working from home in 2020, NDLI is proud to be at the service of the Nation at her greatest hour of need and grateful recipients of this global recognition of its efforts.
