About the Event:
Brainware University, Kolkata, organized a One-Day User Awareness Workshop on the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and NDLI Club on May 5th, 2025, with the objective of spreading awareness about the vast academic resources available through NDLI and encouraging active participation in the NDLI Club among students and faculty members.
The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Bandana Basu, Chief Librarian, Brainware University, whose efforts were instrumental in coordinating the workshop. The workshop was graced by Dr. Parth Sarathi Das, an eminent personality from the National Library of India, who attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Das delivered an inspiring address highlighting the importance of digital access to knowledge in contemporary education. Mr. Suman Panja from the NDLI Club led a comprehensive session on how to access and utilize NDLI’s digital resources effectively. He explained the features of the platform and encouraged attendees to engage with the NDLI Club to foster a culture of collaborative learning. Mr. Partha Sengupta, a speaker from NDLI, delivered a specialized talk on the NDLI Club framework and presented a statistical report focused on West Bengal, offering insights into regional engagement, user growth, and the role of institutions in strengthening digital learning habits.
The workshop included interactive segments and drew enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, making it a successful initiative toward promoting digital literacy and resource-based learning.
